Madison-Morgan Boys & Girls Club's 2018 Charles W. Baldwin Hope & Promise brought supporters of the Club's mission to Lane Creek Golf Course in Bishop, GA for a day of fundraising.
The Club's annual golf tournament this year focused on supporting its summer programming, along with launching a new program - First Tee.
"First Tee will allow our children to learn not only the game of golf but the quality characteristics the game teaches such as discipline, sportsmanship and patience," said Karen Robertson, Senior Executive Club Director for MMBGC.
"It's always a lovely tournament and our staff was so thrilled to see so many playing golf for the youth of Morgan County."
Players joined in teams of four for a game of scramble and had the option of entering for a large Green Egg at the conclusion of the golf tournament.
Madison-Morgan Boys & Girls Club members helped and also played on teams during the tournament, some experiencing golf for the first time.
"It's so important that, as a community, we continue to come together to help our youth out of the rough and onto the greenway to success," Bob Mackey, CEO & President of Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia said. "We are truly so grateful that Madison continues to see the value in our organization. Together we are making lasting impacts that will continue to see ripple affects into the future."
