Walton County Boys & Girls Club Teens have been busy sharing their stories of how the Club has impacted their lives. They have shared their story with Walton County City Mayors and leaders, Walton County School District Superintendent and board members, and Athens Tech Community College.

It takes a village to raise a child and WCBGC is thankful for the partnerships that Walton County is forming with its teen members.

Being able to see how local government and businesses run is so vital to a youth’s development for being career driven, said Executive Club Director Monica Trimble.

“I’m so proud of our teens for the growth they’ve displayed and the community partnerships to help our teens succeed,” she said.

Teen Club member Dariyonia Hester says, “It’s been an honor to speak in front of so many distinguished leaders of Walton County on behalf of my Boys & Girls Club.

“I know my Club and my family are proud of me because they tell me everyday,” he said.

For other teen members, seeing how much the community supported them was uplifting.

“I knew people in our community supported our Club, but I never really knew how much people loved us until we started speaking to the different groups of Walton County,” Sunny Manning said. “I love my Club!”
