Safety is the number one priority of Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia, and we are doing whatever it takes to keep children, our staff, and volunteers protected from the COVID-19 virus. Safety is having our doors closed until April 16, as advised by our government officials. Although our Clubs are closed for now, our commitment and resolve to be a place that changes lives is still open. During these unprecedented time, Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia is doing whatever it takes to provide our members and families with the resources they need to continue pursuing academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another. We have become accustomed to lifting up our kids. Now our kids, family and friends will call upon us more than ever. We wanted to let you know what we are doing in response to the current crisis:
• Following public health, CDC, and the World Health Organization’s recommendations
• Providing Academic & Enrichment Activities through our Club site and Facebook pages
• Meeting weekly with BGCNCG Safety Taskforce to deliver timely updates to the community
• Repeated Sanitization remediation of all Club materials, rooms, and games equipment
• Repeated Vehicle sanitization
Now, is a time for our communities to come together and support the youth. We know it to be true that you care about our youth. As we navigate the road ahead, we’re looking toward our summer programming. And, whether you can offer your time, talents, or treasures, we welcome your support of Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia.
While it is incredibly difficult to be physically distant from the youth we serve, we are committed to serving them just the same during this social distancing. We’ll hope that you will consider making that same commitment alongside us. Together we will get through this and continue to make a difference in the lives of the youths we serve!
