One by one Madison-Morgan County Boys & Girls Club members walked into Waffle House to support their own spirit day recently.

Each member with his or her own money in hand, ordered and ate a meal, excited that a portion of the proceeds from that day would go directly to the club.

The Waffle House partnership is an ongoing one with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia for a good cause says Waffle House District Manager Cynthia Cooper.

“We support (BGCNCG) because we see first hand the difference these clubs make in our youth’s lives,” she said.

Lashonda Williams works at one of the Waffle House locations in Madison and her three children are club members at MMBGC. She says without the club she would be lost.

“My kids have been attending for four years and I know that I’m leaving them in a good environment where they will learn life skills, as well as respect,” Williams said.
